This Sunday there's a big mass for Old St. Pat's, my favorite parish in Chicago. However, I have no interest in going. It's at the UIC Pavillion and celebrates the parish's growth, I guess. All the other masses are canceled.

So if you like Old St. Pat's and crowds, be my guest go. I'll go somewhere local and avoid the crowds and what I expect would be a parking nightmare.

It seems since I've gotten back they do a lot of big events and not so many small ones where you'd feel part of a community rather than part of a crowd. Some may love it. Not me.
